Riding the Winds of Mountains and Seas: Xiangfeng’s Beidaihe-Bashang Team-Building Tour Concludes

Stepping away from desk duties, Ningbo Xiangfeng Import & Export Co., Ltd. took all staff on a 5-day team-building trip across Beidaihe, Chengde and Bashang Grassland. Designed to relieve work stress and boost team cohesion, the tour brought colleagues closer as they explored coastal shores, the imperial mountain resort and vast grasslands, solidifying workplace camaraderie amid stunning natural landscapes.

Day 1 | Heading for Beidaihe, Embracing Bohai Breezes

Leaving Ningbo, we flew to Beijing Daxing International Airport and travelled by coach to Qinhuangdao-Beidaihe. At Geziwo Park, we stood on tidal flats overlooking the Bohai Sea. Team-mates enjoyed bird-watching and spotting small sea creatures as the tide receded. In the evening, we wandered Qinhuang Alley Night Market to sample local street food and experience Beidaihe’s lively local culture.

Day 2 | Sailing, Exploring Shanhaiguan and Heading to Chengde

Our coastal adventure continued with a sailboat ride over open waters. We viewed Laolongtou and strolled through ancient Shanhaiguan City, appreciating the profound history of the Great Wall where it meets the sea. Afterwards, we travelled north to Chengde.

Day 3 | Offroad Grassland Adventure to Hidden Scenery

We set off on an exclusive off-road grassland crossing. With four passengers per vehicle, we reached remote areas inaccessible to tourist coaches. Our route wound through birch forests, alpine lakes and original pastures where cattle and sheep roamed. A well-known filming location, the sweeping green landscape perfectly illustrated the famous line “Where the wind blows, grass bends and grazing animals appear”.

Day 4 | Bashang Grassland: Immersive Mongolian Cultural Experience

We arrived at the much-anticipated Yudaokou Scenic Area of Bashang Grassland, greeted by wide meadows, blue skies and grazing livestock. We experienced authentic Mongolian culture: receiving hada scarves, sipping milk tea and visiting traditional yurts. Colleagues tried horse-riding and archery, posed in Mongolian costumes and visited Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace filming sites. We also watched the live-action show Grassland Ballad, featuring Mongolian weddings, equestrian stunts and folk performances, before enjoying local grassland cuisine after dark.

Day 5 | Imperial Garden Visit and Homeward Journey

Our final stop was Chengde Mountain Resort, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage and 5A-scenic site. We toured the Qing-dynasty imperial garden, admiring its southern-style landscapes, the Rehe River and landmark buildings such as Yanyu Tower and Jinshan Temple, before heading back to Ningbo with wonderful memories.

Journey Concludes, Team Spirit Lives On

Over five days, we travelled from seashore to grassland. We are dedicated partners at work and joyful companions on the road. This getaway relaxed everyone and strengthened the Xiangfeng team. While the trip has ended, our motivation remains high. Moving forward, all colleagues will carry the energy from this journey, work in unity and pursue new successes together.
